We have come to this area for 3 years in a row. We rent a cabin each time. This was by far the most secluded and had the best views. The cabin was charming and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the back deck rocking in rocking chairs or swinging on the swing...and of course soaking in the hot tub at night looking at all the stars. We had all the kitchen amenities that we needed...an over abundance of towels, pillows and blankets. We were surprised to see salamanders scampering around on the deck. Sadly, it was the only wildlife we saw, other than birds. We really wanted to see a bear. If you want total relaxation, stock up on groceries and stay up at this cabin for a week. We didn't turn the TV on...no music...just totally unplugging. Just what we needed.

We loved this cabin! It was beautiful both inside and out!!! The view was awesome!! I definitely want to come back to this cabin. What a previous reviewer stated about driving to the cabin was so true- 15 minutes of white knuckle driving, but it was worth it. We didn’t rate it a five because of the following: suggest brighter lighting especially in the bathrooms and kitchen area and add extra towel racks or hooks in each bathroom. With four people there was not enough places to hang your towels to dry. Also we had no paper towels, only 2 partially used toilet rolls with 1 extra, and we did kill a roach in the cabin. With that being said, we did all in all love the sound of the whip-poor-will each evening, the solitude and peacefulness of this site and would recommend this unit.

We wanted maximum seclusion, 'cause isn't that the point of a cabin??? This delivered! It was soooo quiet and peaceful up there, giving the "away from it all" feeling we wanted. Views, check! We made pancakes and bacon one morning and sat at the bar on the lower porch looking off into the distance. The cabin was very comfy, cozy and homey. Plenty of towels and dishes provided. Huge DVD selection. Only negatives: we couldn't find any wifi to connect to (but had good cell service). Hot tub was a little tricky to figure out and HOLY chlorine. Please note there's no bath tub (a potential problem for people with small kids). Hot water ran out fairly quickly. Still giving 5 stars because for the price the negatives were no big deal. Wish we could have stayed longer!!!
